Apostille Assistance

Need to use Florida documents abroad? I help coordinate the apostille submission and return, with clear instructions and updates throughout the process.

What is an apostille for?

An apostille authenticates the signature of the public official or notary on a document for use in another country that participates in the Hague Apostille Convention. It does not approve the document’s contents or replace the receiving organization’s requirements.

You may be asked for one when handling family matters overseas, studying abroad, working internationally or completing business paperwork. The organization receiving your document can confirm any translation or certified-copy requirements.

Official Florida resources

Review the Florida Department of State’s requirements, fees, and submission instructions.

Personal help from start to finish

I coordinate submission and return for eligible Florida documents. The Florida Department of State issues the apostille. We’ll confirm the arrangements and fees together before getting started.

Documents I can assist with

Assistance with these eligible Florida documents, based on the destination country’s requirements.

Personal and family records

Florida birth, death, marriage, and divorce records. Official certified records are required, rather than ordinary photocopies.

Education documents

Florida transcripts, diplomas, and academic records with the required certification or notarization from the school or custodian.

Notarized documents

Affidavits, powers of attorney, travel consents, and other eligible Florida-notarized documents. Your adviser or receiving party provides legal wording and signing instructions.

Business documents

Florida-certified corporate records, certificates of status, and eligible notarized business documents for use abroad.

Documents from another state, a federal agency or another country follow a different process. We can confirm whether this service is suitable during your initial inquiry.

For the required document formats, see Florida’s accepted document requirements.

How the service works

  1. We discuss your documents

We’ll start with the document type, issuing location, destination country and deadline. No personal records or sensitive document details are needed for your initial inquiry.

  2. We confirm the arrangements

We discuss the submission requirements, any notarization needed, authorization, the service fee and delivery options. Government fees, certified-copy costs and shipping are identified separately from my assistance fee.

  3. Submission and return

With your authorization, I coordinate submission and return. The issuing authority reviews the request and decides whether to issue the apostille.

Need your documents quickly?

Rush requests are welcome, subject to availability and document readiness. We’ll discuss your required arrival date and the options available.

Rush assistance may involve prioritizing coordination and using faster delivery options where available. It does not mean guaranteed expedited government processing. Agency decisions, processing times and carrier delays are outside my control. I will confirm the available options and any additional costs before you agree.

Let’s discuss your apostille request.

I’m happy to help you understand the next step. We’ll discuss your documents, timing and fees before getting started.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between notarization and an apostille?

Notarization and an apostille serve different purposes. An apostille authenticates an eligible public document for use in a participating country. Some documents need notarization first; certified public records follow the issuing authority’s requirements. I assist with submission, while the government authority issues the apostille.

Can a photocopy of a Florida birth certificate receive an apostille?

An ordinary photocopy is not a substitute for the required certified vital record. Obtain the appropriate certified birth certificate from the issuing records office. Once you have it, I can discuss apostille submission arrangements.

What if my destination country does not accept apostilles?

A different authentication or consular legalization process may be needed. Confirm the destination country’s requirements with its embassy, consulate, or receiving organization. I can review those instructions with you to confirm whether I can assist.

Does apostille assistance include document translation?

Translation is not automatically included, and an apostille does not translate your document. Ask the receiving organization which language and translator credentials it requires. We can review its written instructions before arranging submission.

Can a law office arrange apostille assistance for a client?

Yes. Law offices and other professional offices can coordinate apostille submission assistance with the client’s authorization. We confirm the documents, destination country, contact person, deadline, and return arrangements before receiving originals.

How much does apostille assistance cost in Seminole & Orange Counties?

The total depends on your documents, submission arrangements, and delivery needs. Government fees, certified-copy costs, and shipping are separate from my assistance fee. I confirm costs and any available rush options before you send originals; government processing times are not guaranteed.
